LCG is currently finalizing close-out services for a new Water Treatment Plant for the City of Unalaska, which is required to meet the Long Term 2 Enhanced Surface Water Treatment Rule (LT2) that requires unfiltered water systems to provide a second disinfection method for Cryptosporidium inactivation. Project includes a 3,000 ft2 building, UV disinfection equipment, 500 lineal feet of new water distribution piping and associated pumping and piping gallery equipment, on-site sewer system, parking lot layout and access road design. Additional services to support the project include a study of new discharge options and the subsequent discharge system design.
ASD Three School Door & Window Upgrades
LCG completed this project with ASD to upgrade windows and doors at Chugiak, Huffman and Northwood Elementary Schools. These projects involved replacement of worn existing exterior windows and entry doors with new, more energy efficient units. The scope of work for these projects was limited by the approved funding. Various alternates were included in the bids to provide maximum benefit to the district while remaining under budget. Fiberglass windows were used to maintain the interior aesthetic and provide a long-lasting solution. Upgrades were designed to minimize any impacts to the buildings structural systems, interior casework, and overall aesthetic.
